201 - Primus

Primus has recorded five new songs that appear as part of a two-disc set called Animals Should Not Try to Act Like People (Interscope, October 7). The package has a CD containing the tracks recorded at Les Claypool’s home studio in Northern California, but more attention is being drawn to the second disc - the trio’s first-ever DVD. It gathers together all 12 Primus videos originally released on the out-of-print 1992 VHS Cheesy Home Video; "Lacquerhead," which was banned from MTV; and the touted animated film The Devil Went Down to Georgia. The DVD has loads more goodies, including unseen live performances, home-video montages, making-of-the-video segments, a photo gallery and discography.
